Today I had a HUGE itch to design some Christmas cards using silver and gold embossing powders. I only got two done but that happens when you have a full schedule of picking up kids… it’s raining out and cold so it seems to be a rush to get a parking spot [...] Today I have fallen in love with two items. First… the GORGEOUS Mica/Metallic paper that Patricia has!! OMGosh when she sent me samples of them… I thought I died and went to heaven. I LOVE sparkle! I LOVE glimmer! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Metallic papers!!!!! Second, I fell in love with [...] So, let’s start there, shall we??? I designed the inside of my card with Solar White Classic Column paper. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how this finishes off the inside of a card. And look… the columns don’t interfere with the stamped image!! You stamp and it’s like stamping on smooth non-textured paper!!
I couldn’t resist doing a rustic card when I grabbed Patricia’s Colored Brown Bag Kraft paper. I used the Olive Brown Bag and began by crumpling it up in my hand. I then straightened it out and took a sanding block and rubbed lightly over it until I got some of the brown bag [...] I cannot tell you how excited I was when Theresa Momber asked me to design for her newest set, “Purrr-fectly Delightful”!!! I had just bought my daughter a new kitty for Christmas and I just KNEW I would love using this set to create with AND to scrap book with as I’m sure we [...] Today I was looking at Theresa Momber’s newest set, “Purr-fectly Delightful” and decided I wanted to color the flowers in but do a very simple card that would just focus on them. I used my Copics and went for soft but a bit of brightness to them. I highlighted [...] I can’t think of anything classier than having beautiful linen for your perfectly baked, yummy cookies. Especially when you are giving them as a gift!! White Pearl Linen paper gives soooo much style and elegance to all your special paper crafts. Here I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder and lightly wiped [...] Today I wanted to share a card I made with my father in mind. He’s a big deer hunter and his office has every inch of wall filled with mounted deer, goat, rams, a wild boar AND a huge buffalo!!! Aaaack!! I created this card using the Brawny RC Tuscan Sun and I layered [...] I LOVE the Deckled Brockway Stationery paper Patricia has!!! It’s soooooo rich looking and elegant. When I see it I am reminded of the old movies and how they always portrayed the “rich” world. And… true to it’s description, it would make a gorgeous wedding invitation. I decided to make an anniversary/wedding type card [...] |
