I have been participating in an inactive card design class with Julie Ebersole and friends. For my first attempt I turned to my stash of PopTones cardstock from the PaperTemptress and chose the scrumptious- good enough to eat – Banana Split cardstock, embossed it with black and used Cryogen White cardstock for the sentiment [...]

There is not too much that I can tell you about my card because the gorgeous cardstock from the PaperTempress speaks for itself. I used black embossing powder on Black Pearl Glossy cardstock and for contrast, I added Pop Tones #100 Whip Cream cardstock. Unfortunately, my picture taking skills haven’t improved but at least [...]

Surprise, surprise, another super easy card! To start I dry embossed Pop Tones 100# Razzleberry cardstock from PaperTemptress and attached it to a card base. Next I used black and embossed the flower image onto my favorite Cryogen White cardstock that has a subtle iridescent finish that always brings about beautiful results. Once the [...]

Lots to share with you today featuring my cardstock of choice, Cryogen White from PaperTemptress. I just finished taking the online course, Creative Chemistry 101 given by Tim Holtz, a fun learning experience imparting an unbelievable amount of knowledge! Since I did not have the specific cardstock used in the classes and I was [...]

I love watching video tutorials regardless how they relate to making cards and one of my favorite artists is Shari Carroll who always has terrific ideas. Recently she shared a technique that she calls Velveteen Stamping and since I thought it was so pretty, I set about to try it. I started with Heavenly [...]

I don’t know about you but I’ve been thinking spring, spring, spring and so I was inspired to create Spring Joy. To make the card, I used black and embossed the image on a card made with Heavenly White cardstock. Using a die, I created a frame for the embossed image using the delicious [...]

I recently watched with fascination the video Zenspirations Patterning Techniques by Joanne Fink on Sakura of America’s website. After watching the video I decided to try what I had learned. I printed a simple daisy stamp that I found in the dollar bin at one of the crafts store onto Heavenly White cardstock from PaperTemptress [...]

This is probably one of the easiest cards I’ve ever made but on my goodness, it’s so striking because of the rich elegance of Laser Red Gloss Lustre cardstock from the PaperTemptress. I punched out a valentine from the cardstock and using black, embossed the small valentines directly to the card’s base , added [...]

Sometimes, the elegance of cardstock is all that is required to create a beautiful card. The rich embossed texture of Eggplant Feltweave from the PaperTemptress is such a cardstock.

I wish I could take credit for this sweet Santa card but I cannot. I saw the tutorial over at The Creative Closet and I had to give it a try. The hardest part of making this card is probably cutting the white Laser Silk Lustre after embossing it. For the base [...]
