Been busy making cards!

I actually spent the weekend making cards…I can only show a couple here since I did send a couple of them out so will show them once they have been received but had a lot of fun making these….

First one….I stamped one of my favorite stamps from Concord & 9th (soooo in love with this company now) called Blooms fill in where you fill in the openings with stamps that are included in the set (just found out it is on sale..ugh just spent $40 LOL…true..but bought the dies that go with this stamp set)…on  Heavenly White 120# which is becoming my go to cardstock these days since it truly inks beautifully…after done stamping or using a stencil it looks more like it was printed then ink added..love love love. So I kept it fairly simple with just adding the sentiment (MFT) with an older Spellbinder die that was also cut out of Heavenly White and actually sprayed with Heidi Swapp’s Color shine in the color Primrose…that is why there is a spot just a little darker than the rest but I thought it added interest. of course I had to add a little bling….and then placed it on another of my favorite cardstocks the Teal BASIS 80# . I am OBSESSED with Teal and have been for a long long time so this Teal cardstock is used a lot these days! And now for the 2nd card….this one just started out of no where LOL..I was actually going thru some of my stamps and came across a round one with a variety of flowers on it…I had also been watching Theresa Momber’s video on using mask to create a partial scene so I wanted to try that technique.  Of course I had to use my absolute favorite technique of resist stamping where you heat emboss with clear embossing powder (mine had a little sparkle in it which you can see a bit of and then inked over the embossing powder, and once again used the Heavenly White 120# ..now my card didn’t turn out anything like Theresa’s video but it did give me ideas.  While I am working on this card I came across the pink circle that I had cut out who knows when LOL and it just happened to fit perfectly and looked good…then I used the circle mask that was leftover from the mask I had created to create the resist area and covered up the center and took a 6×6 polka dot stamp and stamped over the full sheet….and again placed the front on the gorgeous Teal BASIS 80# cardstock….then added a simple sentiment to a die cut from a PaperTrey Ink die and all done!
