Reverse Coloring

Hi There, This is Ginny Maxam.  Today I am going to demonstrate what I call ‘reverse coloring’!  for my card, I used  Heavenly White 120# Ultrasmooth in the 12×12 size, to print on and make my card base! I use a low-end Canon Pixma printer as my go-to workhorse printer and easily handles this #120 heavyweight paper  if yours can’t go to a #100 or #80 (80 is not so great for a base but wonderful for a printing layer).  This paper no matter what size or weight you choose is a preferred smooth paper for Alcohol marker coloring, my Spectrum Noir’s work wonderfully

My image design came from Graciellie Designs  Beautiful Birthday Wishes

I created my image using a watercolor wash background

The reverse comes into play with this card because I have to color with white!

Next, I color in black

Gold:

I work this until I feel I have enough black, white and gold.  I added Stickles Diamond and a few sequins. I also added yellow to the bubble body with a distress marker.

Next, I stipple on yellow for the bee and some veining into his wings:

Here is my finished card!

If you haven’t tried printing on heavy cardstock like this Heavenly White 120# Ultrasmooth, I suggest you try it, It is wonderful for  CAS one layer cards!

Have a great day!

Ginny M
