Hello, everyone! I hope that you are having a wonderful Saturday. My project for this week is an exploding envelope album, which I created as a prize for my sister’s baby shower.
This is the album with the main flaps opened. The base of the album is made using the Envelope Punch Board and envelopes made from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock. This is a fantastic cardstock that will create a neutral background, fit for adding any papers! The matting on the left envelope flaps is Earthstone and on the right envelope flaps is Basis Blue. The gorgeous shimmery mint green in the center envelope is Serpentine Mica/Metallic, which may be purchased as part of the Spring Premium Package or by itself.
The two mats on either end of the Serpentine Mica/Metallic cardstock are both from the Classic Linen 80# line in Graystone and Sage Green. They add subtle texture to the album which I think sets off the shine on the Mica/Metallic even more.
On the back of the album, I also used two kinds of cardstock from the Classic Linen line in Bluestone and Haviland Blue. The third side is matted using Aquamarine Mica/Metallic. The buttons for accents and ribbon for closure are from my stash, as are the patterned papers.
Hope you enjoyed seeing my version of the exploding envelope album and decide to give one a try!
