Butterfly Kisses

Happy Monday!

Marie here and I want to share a little experiment of mine.
I wanted to make  dimensional wings on my butterfly and  to create
wings that had a fuzzy look that I see on some butterflies.

I stampted the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the image with
Copic alcohol ink markers.
I applied liquid Laquer of a dimensional look and then sprinkled Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter from Elizabeth Craft Designs.   It is a super fine glitter and does not apply the coarse glittery appearance of most glitter.

I love to experiment…
I think I would like to create icicles with this method.
I think I will definitely try that!  LOL
I stencilled butterflies on my white designer layer and then shaded the butterflies with Copic Markers.

120# Heavenly White Cardstock
Neenah – Solar White 80#
Cotton Candy Pop Tones 65#

Copic Alcohol ink Markers

Clear Laquer
Warm Diamond Microfine Glitter

I hope you have a wonderful week and I will see you again two weeks from today.

  • Hi Lynne! Thank you so much! Yes, I too love Wink of Stella. I just finished a video for MarkerPOP that will air on the 16th. Yep – you got it…. I used Wink of Stella. I have a few different colors but used the clear for that video. I agree with you… Wink of Stella is totally gorgeous without the coarse glitter. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Such a lovely card. I especially love the background design.
Just a thought, if you don’t want the dimensionality, clear Wink of Stella brushes would give you the glimmer without the coarseness.
