As some of you may know, I am one of those lucky few who was able to have surgery and stop the seizures that were plaguing my life on a daily basis. I am now approaching 5 yrs after having two intense brain surgeries. Epilepsy affects over 3 million people in America and 65 million people worldwide. I made this card for Epilepsy Awareness month using a wonderful Fighter image from Stamping Chef and gorgeous papers from Paper Temptress.
The base of this card is beautiful mica that just shimmers, it’s called Ruby. I die cut out wings to go behind the image using another paper in mica, called Kunzite. The image is digital, so I printed it out on Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 80lb. I use the 80lb because this type runs through my printer much easier. When I am stamping images onto paper for use with copic markers, I often love the Heavenly White or the 110lb paper. The die cut corners on this card are unique in that they actually have wonderful mica insertions in them, so they really shine, esp when placed on a mica base. This color is Mangue.
I hope you love this card today and if you would like to read more about Epilepsy Awareness, feel free to visit my blog which has more information.
