Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!
Kathy, here from Up in the Night with Kat . . . Last time I posted, I mentioned I was going to be doing a watercolor technique for my next post. Well, I did do i . . . but long story short – due to “Life getting in the way” it got mailed before I realized I had not gotten pictures taken of it and there wasn’t enough time for me to do another. I am so sorry for that!!! But I will have another done for my next post in two (2) weeks . . . I promise!!! 🙂
Anyway,, I decided to share a card I did for HIMCR Blogiversay challenge #2 . . . a birthday card made in patriotic colors. I used some of my favorite papers from PaperTemptress along with a new stamp set and banner dies I just received from Papertrey Ink. Here’s how it turned out:
Vintage Silver Lustre paper from PaperTemptress
Lapis (navy) mica/metalilc paper from PaperTemptress
Jupiter Red mica/metallic paper (text weight) from Paper Temptress
star banner dies from Papertrey Ink
Red twine from The Twinery
Wet Paint sentiments stamp set from Papertrey Ink|misc. red gems
I just love the look of patriotic colors of these wonderful papers . . . they are so shimmery and have wonderful texture, which is why they are my all-time, favorite go-to papers. Here’s a couple closeups of the paper so you can see the YUMMY textures:
Till the next time I’m up in the night.
