Hi, all my crafty friends and family!!!
Today I want to share with you a card I did not only for my PaperTemptress DT project, but also for another DT’s project over at Clear It Out Challenge. The theme for the week is “In the Garden”, so I chose this cute little bird who looks like she just raided the flower bed . . . thus reminding me of the little bunnies who are being very selfish in my garden with the green beans, strawberries, etc. – LOL But that is okay . . . I will take care of them the next time I get to the garden center. 🙂
Anyway, for this project I used all PaperTemptress papers except for one (1) small strip of floral paper from “For the Record 2” 6×6 paper pad by Echo Park. So using a 5×5 card base, I went to work. Here’s how it turned out:
“For the Record 2” 6×6 paper pad by Echo Park
“Marigold” and “Seaweed” striped twine from The Twinery
misc. clear gems
button from stash
One thing I love about the papers from PaperTemptress
is the all of the AMAZING colors and textures . . . there is something for everyone and everything!! Though I usually have a hard time getting a decent picture showing the shimmery look of the Cryogen White Iridesent paper
, I was finally able to get a couple of decent close-ups this time. . . . in fact, I am going to share close-ups of all four (4) papers I used from PaperTemptress
on this card.
shimmer on the bird? It looks like maybe a glitter pens or a shimmery
spray was used, but it was colored with regular Copics. The shimmer is the
PAPER . . . and it does NOT rub off!!
shows the shimmer on the background a bit better than the first close-up.
Mica/Metallic papers. Don’t you just LOVE the glittery/
shimmery look of the paper? I know I do . . . and the BEST this is you
get the glittery/shimmer look with the mess!!
of this paper . . . it really does have the feal of leather. .
Thanks so much for stopping by today to take a look at my project. When you are done here, iff you have time, please stop by my blog UpintheNightwithKat.blogspot.com to leave me some lovin’ there, too . . . I just LOVE getting comments – both good and constructive critism. 🙂
Till the next time I’m up in the night.
