Hi, to all my crafty friends and family!!!!
How are you doing this fine Thursday morning? Pretty good here . . . and so happy
that Spring is finally here to stay. The irises are popping up along with the hostas
and strawberry plants. In fact, the strawberry plants are already blooming . . . can’t
wait for the “June” strawberries because I just LOVE fresh strawberries.
Another thing I love is birthdays. Yes, I am one of those who is actually happy to be
celebrating getting another year older . . . and if you have been through what
I have been through, you would be, too. (I am a 2x cancer survivor.)
But back to birthdays . . . I want to share the following card I made this past week
for a friend whose birthday was May 10th.
I made this card using scraps from my “Tell Your Story” 6×6 paper pad
by Teresa Collins along with Vintage Silver Lustre paper from The Paper Temptress
for part of the background (another scrap I had). I just love the texture of the
Vintage Silver Lustre paper, especially when I am doing a CAS card . . . though some
may not think this card qualifies as a CAS card. There are just so many
different definitions of a CAS card.
I also used flowers from Prima and Petaloo along with some miscellaneous fibers.
For the sentiment, I used “make a wish” from “Simple Sayings” (CM5155) from
Stampers Anonymous by Tim Holtz and “Lagoon” ink from Close To My Heart.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a GREAT rest of the week and an even better weekend!!!
Kathy
