None of us ever want to need a reason to have a sympathy card but in reality we will know someone who loses a loved one so it’s always good to keep one or two on hand. I like to have my sympathy cards convey a soft and comforting feeling. Butterflies are often used for sympathy cards as a symbol that the loved one has emerged from a cocoon and is flying as free as a butterfly in heaven.
I used Basis Pink for the background and embossed it with QuicKutz Frame embossing folder. I stamped the image onto Cryogen White and colored the image with copics. I used Rose Petal from the Vellum package for the frame behind the image and the butterflies. I used one fabric rosette and made the leaves out of Spring Larch Glimmer. I LOVE this paper! I frequently use it for making leaves.
Quick hint: Cut out the center of the vellum before adhering to the back of the image. You can use that vellum for other projects or to punch out butterflies like I did.
Please stop by my blog FancyCrafty{Me} for more information about this card. Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
