Glimmery Altered Box

Hi Cathi here with an altered box using gorgeous Paper Temptress Glimmer Cardstock and Vellum.

(Vellum is on sale for 25% off for the whole summer,
so grab some of this beautiful paper while it is on sale!)

Here is how the box started. I distressed the edges to give it an antique look, using my Walnut Ink Distress Ink.

I embossed the Alpine Aster Glimmer cardstock and used it to decorate both the sides and the top of the box. I then used a Martha Stewart Doily punch to make decorative strips with the Juniper Berry. To cover the seam where the papers meet, I used some lovely crochet lace througout.

For the top of the box I added a frame die cut using the Autumn Hay Glimmer cardstock.

Finally I used some gorgeous Turquoise Vellum and some nested flower die cuts to make this flower to decorate the boxes’ top. I finished it off with some stylized leaf die cuts with my Spring Larch Glimmer cardstock.

Here is a look at the finished product again:

 Thanks so much for looking!
