I know that is a heck of a title, but until I come up with a name for this technique, it will have to do!
As most of you know, Cryogen White is my all time favorite cardstock, I love the glittery beauty of it, how strong and how absorbent it is. This cardstock with handle anything you throw at it, embossing, ink, paint, distressing etc..
I got some new 3D embossing folders from spellbinders and wanted to bring out the beautiful design that they have,so I created this card.
Isnt it lovely with all that distressed color! And just think , all that color started as a plain sheet of Cryogen white cardstock!
Here is how I did it:
Run Cryogen White cardstock through embossing machine.
just sit back and admire that beautiful shimmer for a second!
Ink a brayer and run it over the raised portions of the embossed image.
Sprinkle on Clear embossing powder.
Melt the embossing powder with a heat tool.
Spread on some Distress inks, I used “Barn door”.
and “wild honey”.
rub the excess ink off with a towel.
dab on some Brilliance “cosmic copper” ink.
Now take a Staz-on ink pad and run it over the raised areas. The Staz-on ink will stick to the embossing powder.
Cut two different sizes of dies to match the raised area. I used the amazing Grandee Felt paperline.
Ink a sentiment stamp with Versamark ink and stamp onto the smallest die cut.
Sprinkle on white embossing powder, use a heat tool to melt the powder.
Adhere the two die cuts to the card using 3 D Foam tape to raise them up.
that’s it you are all done!
Now go make some awesome something!
