Bless the USA

The first time I heard this song was at a fireworks display in the small town where I lived. I think I cried…

‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land, God bless the USA!

Lee Greenwood says it well. Have a safe and happy Independence Day.

And do take the time toremember the men and women who died to preserve our right to enjoy our freedom and love our country.

God Bless The USA

by Lee Greenwood

If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.

I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today.
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
