Hi all, Patricia here….exhausted LOL!  I have had 3 of my grandbabies most of the week now and I am plum worn out!  Even though I wouldn’t trade my time with them for all the money in the world.  They truly make my sun rise in the morning!  But I did find time to make a card last week.  Sorry I am so tired I am not going to go much into the making of this card but it was fun.  I have had these stamps from  Paula Best for a long time but haven’t used many of them so it was time to change that.  I used the amazing Gold Pearl Linen for the base and Hot Fudge Pop Tones 65# for the mat.  I stamped the image on one of my favorite Lustre paperline, Silk Silver Lustre and just lightly colored parts of the image with copic markers.  No fancy shading, just kept the coloring simple.  I used some designer paper (not sure which pad and tooooo tired to look LOL) for the rest. Â
The sides of the card was still a little boring so I stamped the border with Ranger’s Archival ink, not sure why it didn’t stamp as well as I like, not sure if it was because I used a clear stamp or what but definately not as crisp as an impression as I like but ended up liking the imperfection of it. Â I mean it is handmade so shouldn’t look like a Hallmark card right???? Â Yes that is what I thought too 🙂 Â Then I kept the inside pretty much the same, just changed the designer paper design but kept all the colors the same since it was chosen from the same paper pad. Â Added a spot of bling here and there and wallah ….all done!
The Tim Holtz saying was exactly the mood I was in and looking for so finished the card with that sentiment. Â I did end up rounding the corners after taking these pictures so you are going to have to imagine that LOL! Â I am starting to round all of my corners!
Okay off to bed….oh my goodness I almost forgot.
I know I have beent talking forever about something big coming up….well it just got BIGGER AND BIGGER AND BIGGER. But still finalizing a couple of things but the new news it going to blow you away so stay tuned for another week or 10 days….well worth the wait, I PROMISE!
