Thanks for the memories!

Do you know remember or do you know when that paper/stamp/ink passion started? I do, my passion started watching Carol Duvall years ago. Carol Duval was where I first saw Tim Holtz! Another regular was Michael Strong, I loved how he could take one stamp and create a dozen designs from that one stamp. Guess what, he can still do that too! I met him in person a couple of weeks ago. I was so excited, I felt like a groupie LOL! He was teaching a class here in San Jose…..loved it! If you ever get to take one of his classes take it. He is located in San Diego. Here is one of the cards that we made:

The base is Amber Mica/Metallic while the mat behind the images is Gold Mica/Metallic.  Those stamped images are from the new Silhouette Panels that Michael designed.  I used the Hummingbird.  There are also butterfly and dragonfly panels available also.  They are stamped on the Eclipse Black 80#.  The greatest item on this card is the panel of gold strips.  The strip was cut out of Gold Sparkle, Glamour Gold Glossy, and Gold Mica/Metallic.  It was done by taking strips of each of the cardstocks that were placed on a piece of sticky paper vertically and then cut in strips.  Love the effect and easy to do!  I can’t wait to take another class!
Remember the surprise I have been talking about….well the way it is going now I am fairly sure I should be unveiling next week so keep an eye out because it is big big big!

Thanks all!  Happy Stamping

  • Love the look. I’m sure the class was fantastic. So wish something like that would happen around here.
