I want to send a big get well hug to Patricia (PaperTemptress). Â Hope you are feeling much better!Â
Once again I’m excited to show you a card with no patterned paper… just solid colored papers with wonderful texture and shimmer.
This card features a sneak peek of a Layers of Color  stamp set soon to be released!
It’s called Sweet Silhouettes and is illustrated by Nina Brackett.
The wonderfully sturdy cardstock I used for the card base is the 100#  Pop tones in whip cream. I love a sturdy base to build my card on.
Next I layered on the sky blue crepe and deep blue crepe from my package of Ruche  paper. This is the prettiest textured paper! Its all lovely and crinkled like crepe paper only much heavier and easier to work with on your paper projects.
Then comes the fun part… cutting  Spellbinders die shapes and embossing for more texture. The pink layer is embossed with a Quickutz folder. The stamped images are heat embossed. I wanted a little gold like the traditional old fashioned frame you might find a silhouette in. I highlighted the stamped frame with a a gold marker. My Hugs and Kisses banner is cut from antique gold mica/metallic  cardstock.
A little ribbon and lace…there you have it! Once again, no digging through your stash of patterned paper trying to find the perfect one. Just pull out some lovely textured papers from The PaperTemptress  and get rignt down to making those cards!
Happy crafting! Diana
