Hinged Card

Hi all, this is Vickie.  How often have you thought you just had to have a book and rarely use it.  Well this card came from one of those books.  The book is called Interactive Cards by Annie’s Attic.  It is a hinged card and I love the idea.  The base of the card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and is Cryogen White.  The image is also cut from the Cryogen White.  The bottom piece is 4 1/4 x 3/1/4 and is the beautful Violet Mica/ Metallic.  The gigham stamp is from the Impression Obsession Cover-a-Card Background stamp series.  Also used the small Dots from the same line to do the dots on the top piece.  I love these stamps because when you have a beautiful cardstock base I can make all sorts of background paper to match whatever project I am doing.   The top dotted piece measures 4 1/4 x   2  1/2.  The decorative border is a Martha Stewart punch and I used White Crepe Ruche for a little texture.   The bottom piece is only glued to the base at the bottom and about 2 inches up each side.  The top piece actually slides under decorative border that was attached to the bottom piece.  The brad is attached to the side through all 4 layers.  The image I used is from Lockhart Stamp Company.  I love coloring these images because they are small and give a nice pop to your card.
