Fall Blessings

Good morning Paper Temptress fans.  This is Lisa A. with my newest creation featuring a few colors from the Ultimate Glossy Paper line.  When I was looking through all the beautiful choices of paper I am fortunate to work with the Copper Metallic Ultimate Glossy card stock and Gold Metallic Ultimate Glossy card stock.  It reminded me of all the breathtaking colors of the changing leaves that I saw during our drive over the past weekend.  Fall is one of my favorite times of the year with all natures’ beauty.  The paper from Paper Temptress helps to capture that beauty.  Please take a look and let me know that you think.

How I made it:

  • I cut the card base out of ivory card stock 6″x 9¼”.
  • I then scored the card stock at 4⅝” to form the card base.  Set aside.
  • I cut the Gold Metallic Ultimate Glossy card stock from at 5⅞”x 4½”.
  • Using the 1⅛” circle punch, make 3 holes on the front of the Gold Metallic Ultimate Glossy card stock .  The centers of the circles should be at 1¼”, 3”, and 4¾”.  Set aside.
  • I cut the Copper Metallic Ultimate Glossy card stock at 5¾” x 4⅜”.
  • Using the 1¼” circle punch, make 3 holes on the front of the Copper Metallic Ultimate Glossy card stock. The centers of the circles should be at 1⅛”, 2⅞” and 4⅝”.
  • Using the leaf background image from Heartfelt Creations, stamp image with Staz-On Ink pad in Jet Black on the Copper Metallic Ultimate Glossy card stock.
  • I attached the Copper Metallic Ultimate Glossy card stock to the top of the Gold Metallic Ultimate Glossy card stock.  I then attached the 2 rows of gold ribbon to the bottom of the 2 mats.  Set aside.
  • I created the leaf charms with the leaf stamp and the crystal clear Shrinky Dinks, following the package directions.  I colored the stamped leafs with Copic markers before shrinking them in the oven.  I punched holes to allow them to hang before baking.  After the charms are baked I added the gold tone jump rings.
  • I used my Big Bite on a small scrap of ivory card stock and punch 3 holes at the appropriate spots to attach the charms so that they would dangle in the open circles of the mats. I used a small piece of the 26 gauge wire to attach each charm through the hole.
  • I then attached the small piece of ivory card stock to the ivory card base.  Then I applied the stamped mats to the card base with pop dots.  This will give the charms room to move.
  • I cut a piece of ivory card stock at 1¾”x 1¼” and stamped the Thanksgiving Blessings sentiment in Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black.
  • I then matted the sentiment on Copper Metallic Ultimate Glossy card stock cut at 1⅞”x 1⅜” and in the Gold Metallic Ultimate Glossy card stock.  I then added it to the bottom left of the card front.
