Give that chair a pattern

Hi all, this is Vickie.  I recently had  two colored pencil classes with Karen Lockhart.  She showed us a wonderful technique for giving a plain stamp some pattern to it.  I can’t wait to share it.  Here is the image that I started with.  I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black on Cryogen White.

Here are the tools you need

waxed paper

Prisma colored pencils

stylus

You lay the waxed paper on top of your stamped image and make your design as you please with the stylus.  You then take your wonderful Prisma colored pencils and color as you please.

And now for my finished card and the details. The card base is Neenah Super Smooth Ivory.   The dark brown background is Canyon Brown Skinny Columns.  The green layer is Olive Basis.  Finally the wonder striped layer is Sandy Stripe Vellum.  I had this and loved the stripe.  I think you could substitute the Peachy Velvet Stripe.

Can’t you just see the possibilities of this technique.  I can see it on animals, flowers,  or on a plain geometric shape.
