Just Couldn’t Stop

After a bout with Strep Throat a couple weeks ago, I was happy to hit my craft corner again to make some cards.  Knowing I needed a graduation card for my nephew, I decided to try my hand at making a shaped card.  I sketched the shape and cut away…not sure it looks quite right, but oh well.  But it did give me a chance to play with the amazing Lustre cardstock…gotta love those lines!

Cardstock: Green 80# Basis, Laser Black Glossy Lustre

But after making that graduation cap card, I didn’t feel like I really played with my Ppaer Temptress cardstock…I just couldn’t stop there.  Afterall that card didn’t use any of the sparkly cardstock that I so love!  So I decided to pull out a new stamp and just make a “whatever” card.  Since the image was a silhouette (which are totally trendy right now…look at me I am being trendy!  There is a first for everything!) of a fairy holding an umbrella and the sentiment mentioned sunshine, I decided to use a combination of sparkly cardstock to create a sun behind my silhouette.  Pretty cool huh?

Cardstock:  Copper Mica/Metallic, Antique Gold Mica/Metallic, Gold Sparkle, Pool 80# Treasures

And just because you have to get a better idea of the sparkle of these papers, here is a close-up of them…also notice the awesome texture on the Treasures cardstock that I used as a base.

Until next time, thanks for checking out my kind of engineering with Paper Temptress!
