Napkin Fold card or bow

Napkin Fold card

This darling card can double as a bow on a package top. It is easily made from any of the beautiful papers from Paper Temptress. I made myself a sample with directions written inside to keep in the box with my PT papers so I can refer to it any time I need a quick but effective template.

1. Cut and score

1.  Cut your paper to 8 1/2 inch square. Score at 2  and 6 1/2, turn and score again.

2.  Fold on diagonal. Turn and fold again. Open out flat.

3.  You have found the center mark. Fold each corner into the center.

2. Diagonal fold

3. Fold corners to center

4. Grab your favorite punch and punch corners first, then the border of each piece.

4. Corners first!

5. Squish your centers in

5. Push the sides in at the center creating a square area in the middle for your greeting insert.

6. Flatten … I used a bone folder on all creases. You might want to rub a little ink on your edges to make them stand out more. I used a cotton ball for this.  Tuck in a greeting with a 4 1/2 inch square border punched to match. I used PT sky pink.

6. Flatten all sides

Use your finished napkin fold as a card or as an alternative to a bow on a package! Here is it embellished with a selection of Paper Temptress ribbons.
