Layout in Frames

Hi everyone!  I have been having such a blast with this awesome Paper Temptress cardstock!!!  Between my love of scrapbooking and card making AND paper, I am just in heaven!!!  I’m not much into geometrics, but I decided to make a layout of frames so I could highlight several different paper textures at the same time.  They look totally fabulous together… just wish my picture did it more justice!  The pictures are from our friend Freddie’s 60th birthday party.

Layout of Frames

I used White Leather for the background (which is so awesome up close) and then cut “frames” out of Tuscan Sun (yummy 100lb cardstock), White Ruche (my favorite!), Blumarino text weight (fabulous paper!), Black Glossy Laser (it’s shiny & classy!) and Gold Sparkle (love the sparkle!) for the picture frames.

2 different blue inks rubbed over the white ruche brought out the texture of the paper and enabled me to bring the colors together.  All edges are inked (yum) with black.

I tore circles out of the different papers used, scrunched them up, layered them and put them together with cool brads.  Then, I added grungeboard letters coated with Stazon gold metallic ink and the edges inked with black.

Scrunch Flowers

Here’s a close-up of the flowers and the textures of the papers.  It was interesting… as I was “ruffing up” the paper by scrunching it, the Black Glossy Laser separated into 2 cool layers.

I hope you enjoyed this layout.  To see more of my work, visit my website’s gallery (www.LuckyCharmCrafts.com).  I also have some technique videos on my site.

So, what do you think?
Until next time,
Lynn B
