Cuttlequilt

Hi, this is Vickie.  Every week on the Technique Junkies Yahoo group a challenge is put out to try one of the techniques.  This week the technique was called Cuttlequilt.  The exact directions with pictures can be found on the Emboss or Die Technique Junkie’s CD.  I cut two pieces of paper ( I used Laser Silver Luster,  Solar Yellow Pearlescent which I had.  I believe you could substitute Amber Mica Metallic and the wonderful dark base is Eclipse Black.).  I stamped on them and then used two different patterns of embossing folder on the pieces.  I cut the embossed pieces into 1 1/4 inch squares.  I cut a piece of paper  3 3/4 x 5 and glued my embossed squares onto that piece.  I then layered this onto the black cardstock and that piece onto the card.

I also made the embellishment in the middle of this card.  I cut a 1 1/2 inch circle and a 1 inch circle from scrap cardstock.  I used some glue called the Best Glue Ever (which stays tacky when dry) and layered my ribbon onto my circles.  I then layered the two circles and added the button in the middle

My card was picked to be on the home page for the Technique Junkies Yahoo group this week.  How cool is that!
