The colors look a bit off in this photo but you will have to trust me that they all match, LOL! For this card I used the Glitter Lace technique from Technique Junkies. I love this technique as it is so glamorouswhen you can see it in person. Also it is versatile as you can go modern, vintage, fun, girly or flirty with it. Of course the papers make all the difference. I used Jelly Bean Green Pop Tones for the mat of the card. I used Pearl Glimmerfor the base card and under the glitter. On the mat of the card I stamped a large lace background with VersaMark ink and dusted it with silver mica powder. This card is shimmery everywhere you look at it. I embossed the words “Friends Like You are Precious and Few” in silver pearl EP. It is difficult to see in the photo. I am continually awed by how all of Paper Temptress’ papers work perfectly for whatever technique I want to do. It’s “Simply The Best” to quote Tina Turner.
Now for a huge tip for all of you. I have recently become acquainted with cosmetic grade glitter. It can be use on your eyes and in your makeup. Now why would a stamp artist be interested in that, you must be thinking? Well it is the most wonderful stuff. It is so fine that you cannot even feel it on the card, but the shine is unbelievable. The best part is that it doesn’t rub off! Yes, you heard me right. I purchased mine at NailLite, where you get 25 colors for $15.49 plus shipping. Can you believe that? They are small containers but they go a LONG way. You can do a search for microfine cosmetic grade glitter and find more retailers I’m sure. It is such amazing stuff and lasts forever. What I love most about it is that it doesn’t feel like glitter, but packs a huge shine.
See you next time!
