Getting ready for St. Patty’s Day!

With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, are you wishing you had some luck of the Irish with your paper projects?  Paper Temptress has some great shimmery  and glimmery papers that will turn any project into gold…or copper!

I snagged a piece of Tartan Green Grandee Felt for the base of this cover from DD’s Paper Temptress stash…shhh…don’t tell DD!   (It really is a dark green, not black as it appears in these photos.)  I used Copper Mica/Metallic paper which comes in cardstock and text weight.  (For this project, I used cardstock.)  The gold is Gold Mica/Metallic in text weight paper.  Crystal Clear is perfect for wings sprinkled with glitter.

To make this pouch, start off with a 6×11 inch piece of paper.  Again, Grandee Felt has a great weight to it and is perfect for this project!  The Paper Temptress has a Grandee Package in her store as well.   Score your paper at:  3.5 inch, 3.75 inch,  8.5 inch and 8.75 inch.  Fold and decorate.

Here is the opened view.  The inside is lined with some origami paper.  Four or five envelopes are added so that you can tuck in any number of useful things.  Fold the flaps backwards and tape or glue them together.  These will form a sort of accordian.  Adhere the last one to the base cardstock.  I also added a velcro closure to keep it all nice and tidy.  I am sharing a bunch of my fairy images with a stamping friend!
