My neighbor’s precious little daughter’s 1st birthday is next month and we spent yesterday making these amazing invitations for her birthday.  Aren’t they just the cutest invites ever? I gave Mary many choices of designs to choose from and from the 2nd she saw Michael Strong’s Hearts overflowing design she knew it was exactly the invitation she wanted to make. I only made one change in the design and that was adding the Gold scallop hearts since they really did seem to make the hearts pop! The scallop hearts got added quite by accident but really glad the accident happened. We made 25 of these invitations so needless to say, we would have never made 25 of them if I didn’t own a KNK digital cutter that cut out all of the hearts since there ended up being 8 hearts for each invite. We alternated between Mountain Rose and Alpine Aster Glimmer for the base. Now I am sure it isn’t a surprise that I chose the Laser Silver Lustre to use for the stamped hearts. Scalloped Hearts was cut out of Glamour Gold Premium Glossy. We alternated the ink colors from Memento Grape Jelly, Brilliance Galaxy Gold, and Brilliance Aurora (my favorite) which is a multi color pad. I haven’t found an ink yet that the Laser Silver Lustre didn’t love! The inside information was printed on the gorgeous Pearl Glimmer text and then the borders were done with Martha Stewarts Doily Lace Punch. This is a really fun card to make. Michael Strong’s PDF instructions can be found at the end of this post.
