Let my muse amuse you!
Who knows what happened to my muse this weekend, it went in a very unusual direction but it has been fun. I had mermaids on my mind (which thank goodness doesn’t happen very often LOL). I wonder why Starshine LOL! Who out there knows what I am talking about?
I really wish the camera would catch sparkle and glimmer better since the mat is awesome looking IRL. It is simply Neenah SuperSmooth Green
that was embossed using the”Scales” Fiskar’s texture plate ran thru the Cuttlebug. I lightly ran ocean colored chalk inks and Brilliance Cosmic Copper inks over the embossing but it really got amazing looking when I sprayed it with Sea Glass Glimmer Mist. This Neenah cardstocks loves glimmer mist like no other cardstock I know of! It just sparkles so pretty IRL! This is the 1st mat I made that I was talking about in the other mermaid post. I love this mermaid image, I have inked her quite a bit. She also comes from Hearts In Touch #98 Stacey Tippen Fantasy
I came across the Undersea fantasy stamp and I knew exactly what I wanted to create. Why I wanted to I will never know since this is a card that just might not find a good home but it was still a creative journey I needed to take. I wish I had a friend or someone who collected mermaids since when I was thinking about this design I could have made a whole 12 x 12 design since I have a tendency to collect mermaid and merman stamps. I could have created a whole scene (ooohhh, maybe I will)!
Well here is the side view, you know all about why I take a sideview picture so I won’t repeat it now!!
Ok, now for the recipe…..The base is Mangue Sparkle, the image is colored with copic markers and stamped on Laser White Glossy Lustre, the fish and snail are colored with copic markers on Heavenly White. What a creative journey this weekend has been!
