Last night, I got on a bookmark kick. Once you make a project for one child, you know you are going to have to make one for the rest. DD requested one made from the Smitted Snake stamp that I just got from Paper Makeup. So, I cased myself and used some of the same sparkly papers for the bookmark.
I even decorated the back with hearts and her initials. I am sure it’ll be a splash at school today. (I took the pix late, late at night and didn’t think to get a shot of the backside.) This is so easy to make that you can whip up a few of these for your own kids or grandkids. The long strip is sandwiched between two nestie scallops. Decorate as you see fit. Just remember, it is going to be in the pages of a book…so you need to keep layers slim and flat. That’s why Paper Temtpress papers are so handy!! They have all the flare and glitz that rhinestones and pearls have…only its FLAT to begin with!
Take a lookie here…my favorite paper from Paper Temptress is the Russo Incandscent. (Okay, vellum and the incandscent…I have two favorites…favorites today, that is!!) You can bet that I am using every scrap that I can! This pix really shows the glimmer of the paper. The pink in this example is Rose Quartz metallic. BOTH of which can be found in the Valentine Paper Package. So, slither on over to the Paper Temptress store and purchase it so you have pleny of time for those Valentine projects!!
Other papers used:Â Cocoa Ruche, Heavenly White, Neenah spring green
