Make a wish!

makeawish2

This is a very simple card, nothing to brag about (cute enough but….), so you are wondering why I am publishing it?  Well, I really discovered a great way to make incredible looking designer paper in a matter of seconds and a few pennies!  Seriously!  The base is the NEW Neenah Supersmooth Black that is sprayed with Gold Glimmer Mist.  I only wish you could see how beautiful this paper is!  Here is a picture of it before embellishing it.  blackandgoldIt stayed wet a long time, long enough for me to get a paintbrush out and give it a brush effect.  Once I was happy with the way it looked I then dried it with a heat gun.  This new cardstock can take a licken and keep on ticken LOL!!!  I can tell I am going to get out the twenty or so bottles of Glimmer Mist a lot more then I have been.  This picture really doesn’t show just how awesome this looks but you can see the gold.  In real life it has a beautiful golden iridescent look which I find very appealing, and for pennies.   But that isn’t all I sprayed LOL!

This was one of those cards that I literally put together by bits and pieces of different items that I had created but never used (you know what I am talking about don’t you….I have a couple of boxes of stuff that I make and don’t use, how many do you have?)  I had the scalloped mat that I had cut out of Solar White Classic’s Column that went perfectly around the piece of Punch Mica/Metallic.  I had punched the mat with the Fiskar’s ribbon punch and inserted some very cool iridescent purple ribbon I have had for ages!!  OK back to the Glimmer Mist…..As you see I came a cross a White column mat that worked perfect but I wanted to glam it up a little bit.  So I sprayed it also but with three coordinating colors.  OMG, it looks so amazing.  The glimmer mist just ended up really making the cardstock look so expensive, it was a transformation you wouldn’t believe (kind of like me without make up and then with make up LOL)!  The little cloth tag with the angel flying was the whole motivation behind this card.  Everything else just fell in place!!  For my first time playing with the NEW Neenah Supersmooth Black I was very impressed and really looking forward to playing with it some more and to see what everyone out in the community does with this new amazing cardstock!!
