I am so happy to be a part of Paper Temptress this month! I am posting a card today that is not a Christmas card but I imagine Patricia looks like this on a stack of paper tempting us to indulge.
To me, the most exciting part of this card is the Vintage Silver Lustre used behind the fairy. I can hear you saying, “It is not silver!”  Well, I inked the paper with a brayer using Adirondack Ink. I used the color Stream. It had to be heat set after to help the ink dry. Here is a picture of the paper before and after. It is incredible looking and I can’t wait to try other colors.
The paper you can only see peeking out behind the Vintage Silver Lustre is Teal Grandee Felt. The green paper is Green Crepe Ruche. I wish the photo showed the texture of that paper better. It looks like it came right from the woods with the fairy.  I also used Autumn Hay Glimmer in the background and as a border. Leaves are from Stampin Up and have been stamped on the background with Vintage Photo Distress ink. The flower is a Pima flower.
The fairy has been colored with colored pencils and Copics. I always blend my colored pencils with odorless minerail spirits using stubs. I received the image in a swap and am not sure who makes it. When I find out, I am going to buy it!
There is some Silver Lustre paper being offered on my blog as blog candy if you are interested.
