Couldn’t let Halloween go by without posting some Paper Temptress goodies! My lamp played a nasty trick on me & burned me like crazy and I was scared silly to go near it, but then I got a treat with a break in the rain. Yay! Sun for photographs!
These photos do not do the shimmer in these cardstocks justice, but hopefully, you’ll find the tricks used for these cards to be a little treat. All the paper temptress papers let I used here lets you emboss digital images–If it can’t be embossed, I won’t use it. I’m a kook that way!)
- Onyx Stardream cardstock (love Love LOVE the way the torn edge is black against this cardstock’s charcoal shimmer. It’s so stunning it’s scary! heehee
- Clear Vellum (to emboss the text on for the large card)
- Autumn Hay Glimmer cardstock (to print & emboss the circle digi on)
The digi stuff:
- You can find this stunning circle digital image (with the owl & all) for free here at 2peas here (but I believe you need to be a member to download it. It’s worth being a member though, since you can get all kinds of free digital kits & emboss ‘em on these papers, yeah that’s the ticket!) ;o)
- The drunken owl on this 3×3 note-card is “Hootie Pie” & he’s from Pink Cat Studios new digital stamp line here. To make him look intoxicated, I just cut under his foot to tilt him and added wonky eyelids.
I pierced the Onyx paper with a paper piercer and a pin to get sparkly holes for stars:
- The sentiments are all computer generated text using a free typewriter font from dafont.com
Happy Halloween, to those who celebrate it!
