A Bird and It’s Branch

Happy Wednesday! I know I’ve said this before and I will say it again, but I so love Cocoa Crepe Ruche paper. For today’s share I’ve used it to cut out the branch from Sizzix Cherry Blossom Branch die. I used this week’s SCS Sketch Challenge…so here’s what I came up with.

Paper Temptress’ Cocoa Crepe Ruche paper gave it the perfect texture I was looking for. From Paper Temptress I also used Orange Fizz Pop Tone card stock for the flowers and Jellybean Green for the mats. Along the bottom of the mats I used Martha Stewart’s Looper Edger Punch.

I had fun playing with the branch by incorporating it with the bird, which by the way is from Stampin’ Up!’s Always stamp set. In the middle of the flowers I added some halfback pearls to make them pop a bit and to tie in the white background.

The last element on this card is the ribbon. I used May Art’s 100% Rust Silk Ribbon I bought from Stamp Simply Ribbon Store. I love tying my bows this way when I want to showcase or display something in the middle. In this case I used a Chocolate Chip Corduroy Brad.

Hope you have an amazing day!
