Jewelry Set and Gift Box

Top Note Die Box

Here is one of the easier projects that I like to sometimes do! These darling little boxes are made with a Top Note Die (Stampin’ Up!) and a few pieces of cardstock. I wanted to demonstrate here how some Paper Temptress cardstock can be turned into a lovely gift item.pt-blog-080809-3

I made the necklace and earrings set, so I was thrilled to be able to create hand made gift packaging that matched my hand made set of jewelry!!

I started by die cutting Eclipse Black cardstock with the die (I cut 2). Next, I stamped each die cut with VersaMark ink and embossed it with some PearLustre embossing powder from Stampabilities. It’s such a lovely stamp~I borrowed it from a friend. She purchased it at a stamp convention and didn’t record the manufacturer (and gee, if anyone recognizes it HOLLER! I want this stamp!!). Then, I cut some chipboard with the same die cut and attached the black cardstock to the chipboard for more stability.pt-blog-080809-1

Next, I cut two pieces of the same Eclipse Black cardstock to 4 ¼” X 5 ½”. One piece is scored on all sides at 1”. The other is scored on all sides at 15/16”. Cut and fold those pieces and a little glue and voila! Little box!!

The top of the box is attached to the WRONG side of one of the die cuts. The bottom of the box is attached to RIGHT side of one of the die cuts. See how it all comes together?pt-blog-080809-2

I am especially thrilled with how the Paper Temptress cardstock made this project so easy and so beautiful!!! NOTE: This entire project was done with ONE sheet of 8 ½” X 11” Eclipse Black cardstock (not including the chipboard). What an economical and beautiful gift project!!
