Tea Box & Card

I love to alter items and make them into something else, but some times, by just adding a little something here and there you can make them prettier! I was thinking how fun it would be to put a bridal shower gift together along with a card and so here’s what I started with.

Teabox

This is what it looks like altered and with a card.

Here’s a close-up of the box altered.

I added some flowers and brad to the tea cones, closed up the box and added a band to the bottom of the box. I used Paper Temptress’ Black Plastic Touch paper. I used the eyelet border punch along the edge prior to adhering it to the box. I then adhered a piece of Whisper White Organza Ribbon and bow on top of the strip. For embellishment I used some silk and paper flowers with a pearl wedding pin through the middle.

I stamped the sentiment on Sweet Tooth Pop Tone card stock and colored it in with green copic marker. The sentiment is from Gina K. Designs’ Hand-in-Hand stamp set designed by Melanie Muenchinger. Cut it out with Nestabilities Tag die I ran through the Cuttlebug with the Added some dashes with a marker and some brads at each end.

Here’s a close up of the card.

The card base is Paper Temptress Sour Apple card stock. On top of the card front I added a piece of Making Memories Overlay frame which made the card front a bit darker. I added the same ribbon and flower/pearl pin treatment I used on the box to the card front. In the middle of the overlay I stamped words from Gina K. Designs’ Many Wishes stamp set  with Staz On ink.

Hope you have a great week!
