I seem to be hooked on this technique and also on this rose image. It’s one of my favorite all time stamps; I think I bought it over 10 years ago, but some stamps are classic aren’t they?
I started out with paper from the Sorbet Cardstock line: Grape. This cardstock is so easy to work with! It scores easily and look how well it accepted all of my piercing with my Ornare piercing template. It’s really “grape” paper. (ok, I won’t quit my day job. lol).
I stamped and embossed my image, then loaded up my aqua pen with water and colored my rose with re-inkers. Wow, the Irridescent “Cryogen White” cardstock was perfect for this technique. You know how some stocks will warp and buckle make a mess of your project. Not this paper. It’s my new BPF (Best Paper Friend)!!
And how could I forget my all time favorite Paper Temptress paper (all time favorite is different than BPF just in case you were wondering) Vintage Silver Lustre. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT (is yelling allowed on this blog??? ok then…..). It’s so easy to make a card look drop dead gorgeous with a simple die cut of this piece. I also added some stick on pearls for the finishing touch!!
Lastly, I added Ultra Smooth Heavenly White cardstock as a liner for the inside of my card.
Thanks for looking and have a wonderful weekend creating lovely projects with The Paper Temptress’ papers!!
