Fourth of July Card & Gift Box

Hubby and I have been invited to several Fourth of July parties this weekend and I wanted to make sure I made my friends a little something to thank them for hosting. The first share is this Fourth of July gift box and card.

4thJulyBagCard.jpg

All the paper is from Paper Temptress which my photo does not do it justice so make sure to check out the links – Rosso Incandescent for the bag; Red Pepper Classic Columns for the background on the card; Bluemarino Incandescent for the stars; and for the card base and 1″ Circle I used Neenah Classic Crest card stock.
The bag is a digital template called Heart Purse Template designed by  Kelleigh Ratzlaff Designs available through Digichick. The flag on the bag is from the H&M Stamps called Hoo Rah. I stamped it with Brick Red Vivi Dye Ink and then again onto the blue card stock with white craft ink. I cut both pieces out and adhered them together and then onto the bag with double-sided tape. On the closure I added a punch out flower with a diamond brad.
The card is pretty easy and I used the sketch challenge over at SCS to put it togehter. I added faux stitching to the red square and in the middle I added eight 1″ white circles with stars and brads in the middle. On the last circle I added the sentiment from H&M Stamp set Celebrate the Day and some diamond shaped brads. To finish the card I added some ribbon to the top and now it’s ready to be gifted!
Happy Fourth!!!

Well here I go again, if people could really see this design in real life they would see just how beautiful this card is. My only complaint with the amazing cardstock PaperTemptress carries is that it doesn’t photograph well (no matter how hard you try)!! You have incredible taste in your designs!!

  • Fantastic, Carolina – I love the RWB theme, and your card ‘o stars is awesome. Love the little brad additions to each star. How creative and very eye-catching. Your little purse is just adorable…I want a real purse like that! HA.
