3-D Watering Can

Paper Temptress papers are so wonderful and versatile, the papers add so much to cards and scrap book pages and of course paper projects.

Given that we are in the middle of “growing” season, I thought it would be fun to make a 3-D Watering Can, something you can make but do a number of cute things with.

I decided to light my “can” with a led candle light, but you could also add paper flowers or anything else that would fit inside the can.

First of all I decided to use the Star Dreams “Crystal” Card Stock for the project, added a background of alcohol inks, then stamped a Tim Holtz stamp over the entire sheet of paper and embossed the stamped images. After I was finished with the background I printed out the 3-D Watering Can template on the back of the paper, cut it out and then put the can together.

The Star Dreams paper takes alcohol ink so well, and it leaves a beautiful pattern that looks almost like marble, just amazing.

Here is the link to the template, and here is my can with a green led light inside:

And here is the can with the light turned off:

Hope you like the project! Have a great rest of the day and an even better tomorrow.

  • Hello, tthis weekend is pleasant in avor of me, since this moment i am reading this wonderful informative
    paragraph here at my residence.

  • Yep, it looks good. There is just a blank spot that can be seen from the angle of the 2nd picture. But it’s still cute. I’ve seen a site that has Tim Holtz stuff and other paper crafting materials. You might want to have a look. I’m new to scrapbooking and everything but I find it fantastic.
