The cardstock I used in making this card made for a FAST and easy project~with some striking results, don’t you think??

I started with Red Pepper Linen for my card base, then layered another layer of Red Pepper (the darker) to emphasize my main images. It’s darker because I brayered the Red Pepper Cardstock with a darker red ink to give the appearance of two different colors of cardstock. It took the ink beautifully and I’m thrilled with the resulsts!! Then, I used a Spellbinders Rectangle Scallop die on the layer. So easy, yet so pretty (tooting my own horn here: TOOT TOOT!).

Next, I cut a rectangle of the Canvas Silver Lustre cardstock which gave my project a stunning focal point. I used the same cardstock to die cut a flourish (Stampin’ Up!) and placed it behind the darker red layer.

The small floral images are stamped on Heavenly White cardstock with VersaMark ink and gold embossed, then watercolored.

The fern punch is Martha Stewart; the pearls are from Michael’s.

So you see, this project really put The Paper Temptress cardstock line to the test with all of these techniques:

Die Cutting (large rectangular pieces)
Die Cutting (small intricate flourish pieces)
Brayering
Stamping
Heat Embossing
Watercoloring
Punching Small Pieces

Every funtion of this project went without a hitch. That’s what I LOVE about The Paper Temptress’ line of papers. No fuss, no muss……..just a great papercrafting experience.

Hope you’ve enjoyed the project. Have a wonderful day filled with lots of yummy paper!!
