Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle

That is the theme of July/August PaperCraft magazine which as you can tell, I got my copy today.  After reading the Editor’s note especially the feature of crafting with scraps, I decided that I am going to go ahead and share something that I wasn’t going to share until next week.  Most of the time when cardstock is ordered it is cut from what is called a parent sheet which are different sizes but many are 26 x 40 so once they cut the sheets that are needed there are scrap pieces left over.  Well a couple of months ago someone made the huge mistake of putting the scrap pieces in my box and shipped them to me.  Big mistake because now I require it and wasn’t exactly sure what I was going to do with them until this week!

I am a frugile (nice word for cheap)person and I ABSOLUTELY hate waste of any kind, money, time, and supplies.  So I have decided to start selling the scrap pieces so you know longer have to cut up a whole sheet of cardstock for a die cut!  So next week you will be able to buy strips of many of the sheets of cardstock that PaperTemptress carries for a discounted rate!  Most strips are almost 4 inches wide and range in length but most of them are 12 inches long.  That is until they run out but hopefully business will be good enough so that I have to replinish stock often.  I am one of those green nuts out there, I don’t even own a car) so this program makes me very happy and I am hoping it does the same for you!

  • I think this is a FABULOUS idea!! My kudos to you for doing this! I too use up every scrap, and I’ve found that not only does it save me money, it sometimes gives me some inspiration for a project!!
