It’s a beautiful, warm and sunny day here in Arizona so I thought I’d grab some PT cardstocks and Paint The Skies With Butterflies!! I chose the Ultrasmooth Heavenly White cardstock for my base and couldn’t resist the Cordovan and Ivory Leather for the layers.
I love to test The Paper Temptress cardstocks to the limit, so this cardstock had a little bit of everything “done” do it. LOL. I pierced the corners with my Ornare piercing template to let a little bit of the base white cardstock show through. The very corner tips were nipped off with a Marvy corner punch. Doesn’t it give the layer a little bit of movement?? Just like a little butterfly wing! 🙂
The scallop circles are from Spellbinders’ “Nestabilites” line. Wow, this leather cardstocks LOVES to be die cut. What a bonus for a layer-loving cardmaker like me!!
On top of those two layers, I added some butterflies die cut and punched from the same Heavenly White cardstock which was used for the base. The large butterfly is another die cut from Spellbinders and the small ones are a Martha Stewart punch.
The stamp is a sentiment that I purchased years ago at a stamp convention. Back then I didn’t realize that some day I would own enough rubber to………well, I don’t know what but I own a LOT of rubber so I have no idea who makes the stamp (sorry:( It was stamped in VersaMark and embossed with detail white EP. The Leather cardstock *LOVES* to be stamped too!!
So, I think I’ve really put these cardstocks to the test. I am happy to report they performed beautifully!!
