I absolutely LOVE the metallic papers at Paper Temptress! Â The only thing is that I tend to hoard them and use them for elegant cards or “special” occasions. Â Today, I thought I would try something different and try using it with a cute whimsical image. Â I knew that I was going to use my scrap of basic grey dp for my card and I used it as a guide for coloring my image. Â So, I thought to myself why not see how the metallic papers work with it and my image. Â I was thrilled at how well they coordinated and that it looks great with cutesy images too! Â Take a peek and see what you think:
I stamped my image on Neenah white paper, colored it with my copics and cut it out adhering with pop dots. Â I used a clear spica glitter pen over her shirt and silver stickles for the microphone. Â This was matted onto bronze metallic CS and each layer as well as my card base is from bronze metallic as well. Â The pink layer is the gorgeous glimmer paper in mountain rose. Â This was my first time using it and it is amazing, it has a nice heavy weight to it and comes in quite a few beautiful colors. Â The paisley cuttlebug layer is cappuccino metallic text weight. Â See how beautifully it embosses?
