Red, Black, And White! That wasn’t a tuff one for PaperTemptress!!

Carolyn King (who I must say is the Mica/Metallic queen in the house) started a challenge today at Stamp using red, black, and white. I couldn’t resist this challenge since PaperTemptress carries the greatest red, black, and white cardstock. Of course, we all know I am talking about the fabulous Lustre line which if you haven’t used it yet believe me when I tell you it will change the way you stamp and design! The cameo stamp is from Hearts In Touch’s new release In The Garden. I love the cameo, I am a cameo girl to begin with so this was a must have for me. I am very nervous since I am going to be a guest designer for Hearts in Touch in August so I guess I am practicing. And then the bling, have to add the bling don’t we?

I wish everyone could see the laser red glossy in person. It looks textured but in reality it is a very smooth surface. It truly is the most amazing cardstock I have ever used and OMG alchohol inks were made for this cardstock. I am working on a post probably tomorrow of a design I created with the laser gold lustre and alchohol inks. Talk about delicious texture and depth in the matter of a few seconds. Who needs designer paper, you can create your own instantly that color coordinates with everything since you decide the colors.

The fabulous cameo is stamped on Ice Pearl Glossy, you can see the elegant  pearl finish a little bit but trust me, it is very pretty.  Silly me, I really like VersaFine especially with a detailed stamp.  I could have sworn it was a dye ink but after stamping the Ice Pearl Ultimate Glossy, I quickly figured out that it was a pigment ink.  So I embossed it with clear embossing powder.  Cardstock took the heat really well but I did keep the heat gun a good distance from the paper.  The cameo stamp is a silhouette stamp but it does have detail so I colored it with copics.  I am really pleased with the card, what do you think?
