I love this card – and I’m affectionately referring to it as a Rachael Ray card.
You do know who Rachael Ray is, don’t you? She’s the girl on Food Network who does 30-Minute Meals “that means in the time it takes for you to watch this show, I’ll have made a delicious meal from start to finish” – her, that girl; know her now? Only difference is, we’re not cooking here, we’re making cards! Because I do “crafting for the working mom” I have learned how to crank out a card at the last minute – one of those forgot we had a birthday party to go to, send the hubby to Target while I make the card sorta things.  Something else I have learned over time is that when you’re working with top-of-the-line materials, you are already halfway there. So this card is a 30-minute card which really took closer to 15 minutes to complete. But anyone not in the cardmaking world would be none the wiser 😉
I took advantage of the beautiful columns in this Canyon Brown Column paper from Paper Temptress so that I wouldn’t have to do anything at all to the base of my card as its beauty stands on its own. I made my flower out of Mountain Rose Glimmer and Cream Velvet – which are lovely papers both in depth and in texture; added a ribbon, a simple sentiment, a button and some bling and I was there!
This card took far less than 30-minutes…closer to 15 *cheers*
LOOK at that shimmer on the Mountain Rose – simply STUNNING!! – – and doesn’t that Cream Velvet looks like the richest French vanilla ice cream ever – luscious!
