I just felt like playing with my machines this morning. So, I plugged in my Cricut Expression and took out my Wizard. This is the end result of my playing. It is a simple note card that would be so nice to make several of and give as a gift. It’s always nice to have a set of note cards on hand when you want to send a cheer me up or short message.
I used the Walk in My Garden cartridge and with the card ability pressed , I cut out the iris card at 5 and 1/2 inches. Then I ran the front of the card through my Wizard using the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder. I used the Cryogen White for the card and OH how lovely it embosses in the folders! I then cut out several irises only and trimmed them with my decorative scissors to make the “bearded” look on the flower. I used Pop Tones paper in Grape Jelly and Jelly Bean Green for the flower and the leaves. I love the yummy Pop Tones! I felt I needed a bit of shimmer so before I attached all the flowers, I covered them with VersaMark and painted on a bit of Powdered Pearls. I added a piece of Grape Jelly on the inside to enhance the white of the card.
I hope you enjoy the results of my little morning play!
