Vintage Silver Lustre and Silk Silver Lustre

Vintage Silver Lustre and Silk Silver Lustre

Ann Clack from Technique Junkies turned me onto how beautifully this Vintage Silver Lustre colors so that you can design your own stunning background very quickly and easily.  I love this little girl stamp from Art Impressions.  I colored her with copic markers on one of my favorites…Poison Ivory Iridescent and then cut her out with my oval Fiskar’s shape cutter ( I know I own a KNK but sometimes it is faster to just pull out the oval template)!! I then cut a larger oval out of Silk Silver Lustre and colored it with Coral Brilliance Ink.  I colored the background with Jade, Coral, Yellow, and Copper Brilliance inks.  It probably took me about 10 minutes to make this whole card.  You don’t have to spend a lot of time when you start out with gorgeous cardstock.

A while back I sponged distress inks on the lustre and was amazed at the results. The color sort of sunk in and the pattern of the paper stayed on top. It was gorgeous. I do have pics I just have not posted them anywhere. This is darling.
