The challenge this week is to used punches and so here’s my first share, Wedding Card and Treat Holder.
The black paper is called Laser Black Glossy Lustre and heart is made with Laser Silver Lustre Text. Seriously, can you help me say YUM! they are both so shiny and so rich looking that really you really don’t need to do much to them in order to make a wonderful elegant card.
I used the scallop edge punch on the black paper and adhered it to the card stock. Across it added a strip of Queen & Co. Felt Fusion (which by the way already has adhesive on the back – love that!). On the bottom right corner I added some black halfback pearls.
For the heart I stamped the sentiment and flower from Stampin’ Up!’s Together Forever set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then used the Making Memories Tag Maker Punch to make it into a heart tag. Added some halfback pearls to the flowers and adhered it to the card front with glue dots. Recipe for the card and cake slice is below.
This treat holder came together so quickly – love it! This typically happens when I start off with elegant paper, there’s really little that needs to be done to it. I used the AccuCut and the Cake Slice die to cut the box out of Laser White Glossy Lustre. I put the box together and added some Organza Whisper White ribbon. I then punched out some flowers out of the same paper using the Trio flower Punch.
