Cardboard, med. thickness 9 x 3 38″
Cardboard, med. thickness apx. 3 1/2″ sq. for making bottom
Leather Paper 9 x 4″
Leather Paper, apx. 3 1/2″ sq. for making bottom
Dark scrap paper, apx. 3 1/2″ sq. for making bottom
Liquid glue (I used book binding glue)
Distress ink (I used Tim Holtz Antique Linen)
Double sided tape, suggest SCOR or red line tape (I used SCOR tape)
Tip: You may want to spray your paper with a mist of rubbing alcohol as a first step. This will help stretch the paper fibers allowing it to bend at the binding freely.
Tip: I used corrugated cardboard in the video. After the set was completely dry, I realized that the leather paper molds a bit to the corrugation. This gived the pencil holder an odd look. Therefore I would suggest not using cardboard that is corrugated. Wrapping the paper around a juice can to shape it may work also, I thought about that afterward.
